Danas is a Serbian daily newspaper based in Belgrade, first published on June 9, 1997. Founded by journalists from Naša Borba, it has maintained an independent editorial stance, often critical of government policies. The paper promotes social democracy, European Union integration, and supports human rights and minority protections. In March 2021, Danas was acquired by United Media, a subsidiary of United Group. Despite a modest circulation of approximately 4,000 copies as of 2016, it remains influential, particularly among educated urban readers. Danas is also known for featuring political cartoons by renowned caricaturist Predrag Koraksić Corax.
